a new Dawson song by Yucky Y.

Son of a Gym Teacher

(to Son of a Preacherman)

Dawson J. was a pervert's son and when
his Daddy would visit he'd come a lot.
When he lingered close and started hugging,
that's when Mitchy would do his plugging,
through the butt cheeks he'd go plugging,
a gentle wind between the thighs,
Good Morn' to sweet sunrise!

The only boy to betray his country...
was the son of a gym teacher.
The only boy to resent his pony...
was the son of a gym teacher,
yes he was, he was, oh yes he was.

Being patriotic isn't always easy-
no matter how hard he tried.
When he started his Commie talkin',
that's when Mitchy would take him walkin',
oh through the back woods they'd go walkin'.
Ol' Mitchy would part his thighs-
give his boy a grand surprise!

The only boy to betray his country...
was the son of a gym teacher.
The only boy with a love for Trotsky...
was the son of a gym teacher,
yes he was, he was, oh yes he was.

How well does Mitch remember
the look in Dawson's eyes,
Seeing red without stars or stripes,
Burning down Old Glory,
Reading Stalin's life story,
"Fireworks on the fourth's a yawn-
set Molotov cocktail's on the White House lawn!"

And the only boy to betray his country...
was the son of a gym teacher.
The only boy with a love for Trotsky...
was a Commie talkin' son of a gym teacher!

The Ballad of Mitch and Dawson (part I) (to the tune of, the ballad of john and yoko)

Standing on the dock down in Capeside
Trying to get in cuddles' pants
A voice in my head said
"Banana Bread"
You know, we got to give freedom a chance

Christ, you know it ain't easy
Don't you wanna be free?
If you don't bend over
They're gonna communize me

Mitch made his way down to the "congo"
Slapped that bitch down round "Sudan"
Dawson called to say
"Dad, you made me gay!"
"And that's why i'm a Trotsky fan"

Son, I know it ain't easy
But quit calling me
I've moved on to ponies
who really want to get "free"
hello all fellow trotskyites.  i am very excited by the idea of doing book club over the summer.  i think paul's idea of having us each choose a short story or essay and compiling them for one book club meeting is a great idea.  let's plan on doing that.  we can make a packet out of them and distribute them as soon as everyone has decided on one.  also - perhaps this is overly optimistic, but i don't see why we can't have more than one book club meeting this summer.  let's aim for the first one to be during the truro week, and go from there.
let me know what you think.
